Privacy Policy
This policy explains how ROVING VET LTD (trading as Rovi) handles personal data when you use our pet-care planning and creative studio.
Last updated: 12 July 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
ROVING VET LTD is the data controller for Rovi, an online-only digital subscription service. You can reach us at 8 North Street Newtyle, PH12 8TT, United Kingdom, by email at support@rovivet.shop or by phone at +44 7807852941.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address and authentication details when you create an account.
- Pet brief inputs: the pet details, goals and notes you enter to generate a care plan.
- Uploads and generated results: photos or descriptions you upload, and the plans, artwork and reels created for you.
- Subscription data: the plan you choose and billing status. Card details are handled by our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
- Support data: messages you send us through the contact or support forms.
- Technical data: device, browser, IP address and basic usage analytics needed to run and secure the service.
3. Where the data comes from (collection sources)
We are transparent about our data collection sources. Personal data reaches us from the following sources:
- Directly from you when you register, build a care plan, enter a pet brief, upload photos, subscribe or contact support.
- Automatically from your device — technical and usage data collected by our hosting and analytics tools when you use the site.
- From our payment provider — limited subscription and payment-status confirmations (never full card numbers).
We do not buy personal data from data brokers or acquire it from third-party marketing lists.
4. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To provide the service (generate plans, create artwork and reels, manage your account) — performance of a contract.
- To take payment and manage subscriptions — performance of a contract and legal obligation.
- To respond to support requests — legitimate interests and contract.
- To secure, maintain and improve the service — legitimate interests.
- To send service and, where permitted, marketing emails — consent or legitimate interests; you can opt out anytime.
We do not use your uploads, pet briefs or generated results to train AI models.
5. Payment provider boundary
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). Full card numbers are entered on the provider’s secure checkout and are never transmitted to or stored on Rovi’s servers. We receive only limited confirmation and subscription status information needed to manage your access.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
- Hosting and platform infrastructure (application hosting and deployment).
- Payment processing (Stripe) for subscriptions and refunds.
- Database and file storage for accounts, plans and generated assets.
- Email delivery for account and support messages.
- AI generation providers that render artwork and reels from your inputs, under contract and only for that purpose.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. AI data handling: user input, generated output and AI providers
Rovi is an AI-assisted service, so we are explicit about how AI-related data is handled:
- User input: the pet briefs, descriptions, goals, notes and any photos you submit are your user input. We process this user input only to generate the care plan, artwork or reel you requested.
- Generated output: the plans, checklists, portrait art and celebration reels are generated output created for you. Generated output is stored with your account so you can view, download and delete it, and is cleared from temporary caches after 30 days unless you save it.
- AI provider: to render artwork and reels we send the necessary user input to a third-party AI provider strictly to produce your generated output. The AI provider processes it under contract, only for that purpose, and is not permitted to reuse it.
- No training on your data: we do not use your user input or generated output to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model, and we contractually require our AI provider not to train on it either.
- Deletion: you can delete uploaded files, saved user input and generated output at any time from your account or by emailing support@rovivet.shop.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
9. How long we keep it
We keep account and subscription records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and tax purposes. Uploaded photos and generated assets default to a 30-day cache and are then cleared unless you save them to your account. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
10. Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, port your data, and withdraw consent. California residents have rights to know, delete, correct and opt out under the CCPA.
To exercise any right, email support@rovivet.shop. We respond within the timeframes required by law.
11. Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising. If this ever changes, we will provide a clear opt-out and update this policy first.
12. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent where required, limited analytics to understand usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and controls.
13. Automated decisions and children
Rovi generates plans and artwork automatically from your inputs, but these are general-education and creative outputs, not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. The service is not for children under 13, and users aged 13–17 must have verifiable guardian consent.
14. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable processors to protect your data. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and regulators of a breach where required.
15. Complaints and contact
Contact us first at support@rovivet.shopand we will try to resolve any concern. UK/EU users may also complain to their local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). This service is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
